The Foundry Healthcare announces European Digital E-Learning Win

Elearning

We've been selected by Stroke Alliance for Europe (S.A.F.E.), in partnership with the European Stroke Association (ESO), to develop an online information and education training tool to support their member organisations.

The tool’s overriding objectives are to generate more understanding and sustainability in the creation and development of Stroke Support Organisations (SSOs) and to increase their capabilities to advocate for better stroke prevention strategies, diagnosis and treatment, as well as aftercare, at a local and national level.

Following a successful pitch, The Foundry Healthcare has been chosen to develop a digital e-Learning platform, in collaboration with end-users, that empowers them to develop advocacy skills in order to influence decision makers and mobilise public opinion.

The Foundry Healthcare began by conducting research to understand and address users’ cognitive and accessibility challenges, some of which will be stroke survivors, before arriving at the best technical solution.

Working in collaboration with S.A.F.E. and an Online Disability and Accessibility Consultant, the new e-learning programme is designed to deliver a number of different eLearning modules in a user-friendly and highly accessible format.

Digital Director, Ian McKay said, “This was one of those projects that had the whole agency talking. Everybody understood both the political and emotional motivators behind the project and worked really hard to deliver a proposal that would meet the needs of its users. We are delighted to be working with S.A.F.E. to raise awareness of stroke and support all those affected “.

“The Foundry Healthcare delivered a passionate and professional response to our brief, demonstrating they had the experience and skills to deliver against our primary objectives, which is enabling stroke survivors and their supporters to campaign for greater awareness and better care, and to build stroke support organisations” Jon Barrick Board President of SAFE.

Phase 1 is due to launch in March next year in Europe, with the potential to expand worldwide.
